Ms. Hema Narayanan is a professional Photographer, Writer & Photography Mentor [Engineer by Education, Artist by choice] and a Graduate in Photography from the New York Institute of Photography. After working in the IT field for more than a decade, she quit to become an entrepreneur and founder of the firm 'Wider Angles' in the photography and writing industry. Her work is frequently published in travel magazines, journals, and newspapers. As a licensed artist with Getty Images and Shutterstock, she leads 'Experience India' photography journeys under her banner. She undertakes 'Commercial photography' projects in urban spaces, home decor & interiors, people and family portraiture, lifestyle, architecture, and products. 

She is currently working as a Consultant Photojournalist in a non-profit organization working on Chronicling Covid-19 in India.

Ms. Mousumi Phukan is a housewife from Guwahati, Assam who began her photography journey in 2016. She specializes in wildlife photography but also enjoys shooting in various genres. In 2019, she achieved her first photographic distinction, AFIP, from the Federation of Indian Photography. In 2020, she received her second distinction, EFIP, and her third distinction, AFIAP, from the Federation International de l'Art Photographique. Mousumi is also a member of the Federation of Indian Photography.

Ms. Snigdha Kar is an accomplished Indian photographer with numerous distinctions and awards to her name. She holds distinctions such as MPSA, EFIAP, EFIP GOLD NATURE, EFIP, MSAP, and BEAPF. She has been felicitated by several international and national organizations, including CPE (Romania), PESGSPC (Cyprus), Fellow PMP (India), APF (India), and GPA.PESGSPC (Cyprus), among others.

Snigdha has won over 300 awards and received over 2500 acceptances from international and national salons. Her photographs have been exhibited in over 28 countries worldwide. She has achieved a special distinction of EFIP GOLD NATURE in the Nature Division from FIP, India. She has also been honored by the Federation of Indian Photography for her work as a Salon Secretary and as a juror in over 100 international and national circuits/salons.

Snigdha is also the founder of the Photography Club Plaapa, based in Kolkata, which has won over 100 best club awards from international and national salons. She regularly conducts online classes regarding photography as a faculty member and is the founder of the Facebook group Plaapa, which has over 27k members. Additionally, she is a graduate of Advance PTD from PSA.

Ms. Anita Basak is currently practicing photography as her full-time profession after completing her post Diploma in Photography(PAD),. Her interests are human-related, Indoor Light Photography & Outdoor Photography. She likes to conduct Indoor Light Photography Workshops &  Photography Tours.

Ms. Neetu Katyal is a passionate photoartist who has achieved remarkable success in the field of photography and has established herself as a prominent figure in the realm of photoart with close to 1000 acceptances from 21 countries. She joined TPAS (Tricity Photo Art Society), Chandigarh in 2015 and currently, she dons the mantle of President. She also runs a Fine Art Portraits Studio.

Neetu Katyal has also been honored with an Award of Excellence by First Friday Forum, Chandigarh (Oct'18) and an Award of Excellence by "WE" in collaboration with Punjab Arts Council (March'17).

As the only female photoartist in Tricity to have been honored with such prestigious distinctions, Neetu Katyal is motivated to continue learning and sharing her knowledge of photoart. She enjoys working on various genres such as portraits, travel, conceptual, and street photography. Her passion for learning and spreading knowledge in the field of photoart drives her to excel and make a lasting impact.

Ms. Sona Beniwal is a passionate freelance Photo Artist, born in a small village, in Sirsa District of Haryana (India) in February 1974.  She was obsessed with pencil sketching in her early youth and soon converted her interest to capturing fleeting moments with the camera. She has been into her ultimate passion, Photography since 2007. Her depiction in monochrome shades needs ‘special mention’ as they perfectly complement her abstract personality, which she is. Be it Mother Nature’s bounty or elements of daily life – she always creates visual ‘Poetry’ out of them. She nurtures her subject with a soulful heart and that brings to life whatever she crafts. Being an Artist, She has achieved many Awards from different National and International Salons/Exhibitions from more than 28 countries. She has served as a Judge in countless International Digital Photography and Print Salons/Exhibitions/Circuits in India. She is serving as a Contest Captain in FIP, handling quarterly contests, FIP Indian Photographer of the Year, and FIP Youth Photographer of the Year since 2017.

In her words... “Photography is my Passion and Editing my Meditation.” Creating something artistic and unique out of nothing embedded with a straightforward approach is the best part of my passion for photography. Monochrome and Nature fascinate me the most. I am passionate about the entrancing beauty of the colorful birds as they are a symbol of FREEDOM. I always try to portray the beauty of the world in my own style while catching the innocent exquisiteness of nature and humankind at the right moment and understanding it in a deeper sense.

Ms. Darshan Ganapathy is based in a small village called Hoskeri, located in the Kodagu district of Karnataka. With a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Mysore, she is a successful coffee planter and runs a homestay business. Growing up in the Bandipur Forest of Karnataka, she developed a deep love for wildlife. Even after marriage, moving to Coorg helped her remain connected to nature.

She loves traveling and started photography as a hobby during her travels to the Himalayas. Capturing different stories of nature and humans through her lens, she aims to freeze a moment in time within an image to tell a story. Photography challenges her creativity and compels her to learn new things and travel more. Her favorite genres are landscapes, travel, nature, and wildlife. She has won many local awards and received recognition for the image "The Balloon Festival," which was shot in Varanasi and was a winner in the Travel Section of the Sony World Photography Awards in 2022.

Ms. Sharmali Das began her journey in photography in 2004 by enrolling in a course at CHHAYAPATH, CALCUTTA, a premier institution in Kolkata. After completing her Diploma in Photography in 2007, she became a member of Chhayapath, Calcutta in 2008. In 2011-12, 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17, she took on the role of Treasurer for Chhayapath, Calcutta. For three consecutive years, from 2017-18 to 2019-20, she served as Salon Chairman of Chhayapath, Calcutta, and oversaw the 19th and 20th Chhayapath International Salons. In 2022, Sharmali achieved EFIAP/d3, becoming the first Indian to do so. She also earned BPSA in 2018 and GMPSA in January 2020, making her the fourth Indian and the first woman in Southeast Asia to achieve this distinction. Sharmali has traveled extensively throughout rural Bengal for her photography, which inspired her to create an organization to provide service to rural areas. She currently works as a Cost Accountant in a State-run Public Utility sector.

Dr. Adv. Suwarna Gawde is a highly decorated personality in not just academics but also in the field of photography.  She has been involved with The Photographic Society of India, serving as a member of the managing committee from 1994 to 1998, Hon. Secretary from 2015 to 2017, and then again from 2019. She was Salon Secretary for the 18th International PSI Salon in 2019 and has judged several international photography competitions by invitation.

As a photography faculty member, she teaches Basic and Advanced Photography and Photoshop. She has won numerous awards in various national and international Salons of Photography, with over 1000+ acceptances. Her solo exhibition on the theme "Kokan" was held at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2014. 

Her extra-curricular activities include painting, bonsai, reading, and wildlife and bird photography. She has traveled extensively for wildlife and photography.

Ms. Happy Mukherjee is a professional freelance photographer and photojournalist from India. She worked as an Economics teacher for over a decade before pursuing photography full-time. Happy is a mentor and national photography competition judge, and has been awarded prestigious distinctions EFIP and EFIAP. Her work has been exhibited in over sixty countries and she has received more than 450 awards for her photography. She has been acknowledged as Best Female Photographer sixteen times in national and international competitions. Happy's work has been published in various magazines and newspapers, including Chiiz, Smart Photography Magazine, The Times, and Anandabazar. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Lalitkala National Academy Award and the World Photographer Club contest. Happy has also been selected as a finalist in the Siena Awards Contest and was the first Indian photographer to win 3rd place in the EISA Maestro International Photography Competition. She has received the prestigious FIAP Blue Pin from Georgia. In addition to photography, Happy also enjoys painting, bonsai, reading, and bird watching.

Parent. Grandparent. Globetrotter. Award-winning Photographer. There are many hats that Ms. Sharifa Khatri dons and does so with great aplomb. She calls Mumbai her base but is constantly traveling all over the world, looking for moments that can be captured for eternity.

Sharifa, a self-taught photographer, took up professional photography quite late in her life but has since accelerated through the learning curve, going on to win one accolade after another. She is the recipient of multiple high-level global recognitions, has had her work exhibited in different parts of the world, and also delivered presentations of her work to a captive audience.

With her trusted camera by her side, and armed with her titanium knees, Sharifa has traveled to close to 30 countries so far and that list is only going to increase substantially. Being a self-taught photographer, Sharifa is able to use the medium to express her creativity without the constraints of any external influence.

From capturing the snowy peaks in Alaska to the Northern Lights in Norway to historic step wells in India, she is a keen explorer and wants to cover as much of the world as she can. From landscapes to architecture to aerial to portraits – Sharifa explores all forms of photography and is keen on having as diverse a portfolio as she can create. Always wanting to be self-reliant, she has also educated herself on the use of digital tools to enable her pictures to tell a more picturesque story.

At some point in the future, she wants to teach photography to those on her wavelength. But for now, there are more destinations to discover and more moments to capture…

Ms. Sunita Aich, born in 1987, has been practicing photography since 2005 with a specialization in street photography, outdoor portrait, cultural and ritual documentary, daily life, and social documentary. She started participating in national and international salons, competitions, and exhibitions in 2008 and has exhibited over nearly 250 works in more than sixty-five countries, with more than 1400 exhibits to her credit. She has been awarded over 200 times in national and international salons until 2018, including being a finalist in the Sienna International Photography Awards in 2015 and receiving the Special Mention award in the prestigious Px3 awards in 2016. She has also received the highest award in several competitions in Norway, France, Serbia, Argentina, Greece, Italy, and Turkey since 2011. In 2013, she received AFIAP, and in India, she became the junior-most lady photographer to receive the EFIAP distinction at the age of 27. She has also been appointed as a judge for numerous photography salons and contests internationally. Along with being a photographer, she also serves as the Hon. Treasurer of Indian Visual Arts Foundation and has been elected as a Governing Body member of the Federation of Indian Photography from 2018.
