Youth Photographic Society, Bengaluru, is one of the oldest and prestigious Photography Clubs in India
established in 1971. As of now, the Society boasts of 250+ Life Members, 200+ Individual members and
numerous internationally acclaimed photographers. We are proud that we hold the highest number
of international distinction holders in the country and look forward to flourishing further.
YPS has held 34 All India and 9 International salons and currently gearing towards the 10th International Salon, 2018. We were excited to have the exclusive category of 35th YPS All India Salon committee which allowed cost-free participation from youth up to 18 years of age. We were truly encouraged by the number of entries received from across India. This astounding success was possible only because I had the privilege of working with a talented, thoughtful and diligent team.
I am grateful for their insights and for their superb work. The inhouse Salon Judging software was also fine tuned and accentuated with few more features based on the feedback from our Judges of the previous YPS International Salon.
We pledged our commitment to the Digital Economy of the country by digitally processing all the payments, made by the participants and Sponsors, through the seamless digital payment gateway on our website. Open-Judging, a transparent process, where the participants not only have the opportunity of viewing their Scores Live but also assessing where each picture ranks/stands throughout the process. The distinguished juries, who are eminent Photographers themselves, conducted the evaluation of the images with great conscience and unbiased expertise to which I am deeply indebted. I Congratulate each of you for the magnificent and stunning Pictures!
As the Chairman of the YPS 35th All India Salon, I feel honored and thank the Photography fraternity for contributing to the salon in making it a huge success! For us who have been planning and working in the committee; there has been a lot of work, tremendous amount of enjoyment and an amazing feeling of work well accomplished. Dr. Barun K Sinha has served as the Honorary Secretary General of The Federation of Indian Photography since 2012. He joined FIP as Life Member in 1977. He became the Secretary for Salon Recognitions in FIP in 1999. He was elected as the Vice President of FIP in 2002 and as President in 2004, 2006 and 2010.
At FIP he is responsible for Salons, Overall Control and Distinctions. He was instrumental in hosting two FIAP Nature World Cups in India in 2010 and 2014. He started affordable FIP Workshops program. Under his leadership, FIP has conducted 45 National as well as 6 International Workshops in the last four years. He also instituted the Photographer of the Year and Youth Photographer of the Year awards at FIP. Under his leadership, FIP has also started conducting National and International Digital & Print Salons since 2014.
His photographic journey started in 1970 with the acquisition of Minolta SLR and since then his passion for photography never subsided. He is the founder of Photographic Association of Bihar. He holds the 8th ranking position in PSA Nature Who-is-who. He has won innumerable awards and had promoted Salons and judged in many all his life.

Mr. Bhupesh Chandra Little, is the Dean of Student's Welfare and In-charge of Photography at College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow from which he did is Master of Fine Arts in Photography. He is the Chairman of Horizon International through which he had organized 5 International Exhibitions
He has won 35 International Awards from 10 different countries and 150 National Awards. Over 1500 of his works were accepted in International and All India exhibitions. His works are on display at the ‘Metropolitan Museum’ Spain, and ‘International Federation of Photography’ France. One of his images was also printed in the Platinum Jubilee Coffee Table Book of PSA. He is a co-author of the book 'Experimental Photography'.

He is a specialist in creative photography, macro and bird photography. A specialist in photoshop, he conducted many digital post processing workshops for beginners and advanced photographers.
He concentrated only in the creative sections of international salons and got 69 awards and over 600 acceptances. His works were exhibited all over the world. He had been a judge in many Salons and contributed articles to many reputed Kannada magazines.

MR. DIINESH KUMBLE
4 pictorial coffee table books - 3 of which for the Govt. of Gujarat, 2 pictorial pocket books, and a number of award winning images epitomizes Diinesh Kumble.
A Chemical Engineer, Diinesh turned to entrepreneurship in 1995 venturing into sports software technology, books & games publishing, photography and wildlife conservation. All these interests apart, he finds immense solitude and solace in wildlife photography.
His passion to share knowledge gained over years of on-field professional experience in photography has been imbibed by many aspiring enthusiasts who have gone on to become leading cinematographers, and film makers. His speaking engagements at various corporate entities viz. HP, Microsoft, Bosch etc., and at TEDx, PEPx, DCP Expeditions & NiF events have evoked a sense of awe.
Diinesh is the first wildlife photographer on SONY India’s “Elite Artisan" panel. He is also associated with HP large format printers, Manfrotto & GITZO brands of photographic accessories.
MR. PRASANNA VENKATESH GUBBI

Mr. Prasanna Venkatesh Gubbi is a Natural History Photography by choice. He has won more than 25 International and 60 National awards. He has exhibited more than 400 images in 20 different countries including India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Austria, Argentina, Hungary, Scotland, Greece and Slovenia. He is the winner of Asia\'s most prestigious Wildlife Photography Award, Wind land Smith Rice Natures Best Photography, Asia in Birds Section in the year 2016. He was also a Runner in the Wildlife section in the prestigious Comraderie Photography Contest held by ICICI Bank in 2016.
His images have been published in popular Indian Photography magazines like Sanctuary Asia and Seavus. They have also been published in Nature's Best Photography Magazine and Khabar Magazine published in the USA. Few of his Big Cat images were part of the Coffee Table book published by Dubai Mall.

He has covered most of the sanctuaries in the country and has made exemplary images, especially images of Tigers. SALON Results
Youth Photographic Society Bengaluru (YPS) is pleased to announce the results for the YPS
35th All India Salon 2017 under recognitions from FIP. The Salon was closed
for participation at the midnght of December 15, 2017 at 6:00 PM IST. The judging of the Salon pictures was held on December 16th
& 17th in an Open Judging Event held at JP Nagar Cultural Association, Bengaluru, India. The Judging event was participated
by over 50 participants.
The 35th All India Salon is an All-Digital Salon, the second All India Digital Salon for YPS. Here are some highlights of the Salon:
- This is the first All India Salon in which YPS accepted pictures in 1920x1200 pixel high resolution for judging. Projected in 100% resolution on an Epson Full HD projector, the juries could see all the details required to choose the best ones.
- Apart from providing Acceptances under FIP Recognition, the Salon also offered over 52 Cash + Certificate/Medal Awards totalling over Rs. 80,000 in value. All the Awards are sponsored. See the Award List for a list of Sponsors.
- For the first time YPS has included an exclusive segment for Young Photographers below 18 years. Participation was free. There are 12 exclusive awards only for the Youth.
- The Salon eased Group participation by allowing any member to create a group of 5 or more members to avail discounted rates.
- YPS Members could login using their existing password.
- The participants have the flexibility of choosing any section to participate and the choice of sections could be changed dynamically any time. They can also pay and add more sections any time during the contest.
The results were published individually mailed to all the participants on December 22nd ahead of the planned date of December 25th. Here are some statistics to relish.

- The Youngest YOUTH participants as SHRIKA V and RAGHAV G both from Bengaluru with just 9 years.
- The Youngest YOUTH photographer to win an award is AADITYA RANJAN GHOSH, 11 years from Purulia, winning COLOR Youth Award for his picture "BEHIND THE FRAME".
- The most prolific award winners in the Youth Category are ETASH SAHA, 12 years from Pune winning under MONOCHROME & TRAVEL, RITAGNIK BHATTACHARYA, 17 years from Kolkata winning under COLOR & TRAVEL and JOHNSON KM, 17 years from Bengaluru winning under NATURE & TRAVEL.
- The Most Senior photographer to participate in the salon is DR. HARINARAYAN S, ARPS, AFIP, HON. FIP, FFIP, 83 years. Three of his pictures won Acceptance. He is Life Member of Youth Photographic Society.
- We have participation from 11 States with the highest from Karnataka followed by West Bengal and Maharashtra.

submitted. 136 of the 199 entrants won either an Award or an Acceptance.

- 7 of the 14 Women Photographers had an Award or an Acceptance and walked away with 2 awards and 14 acceptances.
