Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan, an Egyptian born in 1983 in Doha, Qatar, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Egypt in 2007. Following his graduation, he was hired to run the Egyptian army prison clinics for three years. In 2011, Ahmed joined the medical team at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar as a Public Health Physician.

Dr. Ahmed has always dreamed of becoming one of the renowned international photographers who can help provide useful knowledge to others and preserve the beauty of world cultures for different photographic generations through his work. Being a member of several photographic federations and unions has given him the courage to step forward in the field. He began working and becoming enthusiastic about photography in October 2015.

Dr. Ahmed is particularly interested in photography because he sees it as a reflection of human emotions, the greatness of cultures, and a way to help preserve traditions from being forgotten by new generations. He specializes in street, travel, and lifestyle photography. In 2016, his passion for travel and exploration of different cultures took off, as he believes that nothing is better than doing what one loves and pursuing one's dreams. Each image Dr. Ahmed captures is not just a subject but a story that touches his heart before it reaches his lens, resonating with his soul and making him feel the narrative behind it.

MR. JEF LEMMENS

Jef Lemmens, a passionate photographer from Belgium, purchased his first camera almost half a century ago. Though his interest in photography ebbed and flowed over the years, it eventually blossomed into a true passion. In fact, about 15 years ago, Jef joined a local photography club and his love for the art has only continued to grow. Over time, Jef's skills and dedication to photography earned him recognition in both national and international competitions. He has been honored with the distinctions of HonFIAP, EFIAP/d3, and GMPSA/b. Jef has also been asked to judge dozens of regional, national, and international photo contests, as well as serve as the chairman of such contests at each level. Jef's commitment to photography extends beyond his own work and the contests he participates in. He is a vice-president of his own photo club, "Fotogroep Pallieter Lier," and also serves as a board member for a regional federation with approximately 70 affiliated photo clubs. Furthermore, Jef is the director of the FIAP Collection service and FIAP Distinctions service.

Lisa started her photographic journey during college with a borrowed camera.

Her first role with the Photographic Society of America (PSA) was as Area Membership Director, which led her to serve as PSA Membership Vice President. She currently serves as the PSA Service Awards Director and has recently been appointed as Director, PAA Service Recognition (Photographic Alliance of America). 

Lisa is an active judge for PSA and FIAP recognized international exhibitions, local and regional juried shows, and the DCC National Photo Contest in India. She has earned her EPSA and AFIAP distinctions and received a Five Membership Stars plaque from PSA for referring over 100 members. She was honored with her fourth PSA Bronze Editorial Star at the PSA Photo Gathering in Jaisalmer. The PSA Fallon Membership Award plaque was presented to her in 2023.

Lisa has served on the boards of two art organizations, promoting photography as a fine art medium. Her photographs have been exhibited in numerous juried shows, including the recent PSA International Print Gallery Show in Kolkata, India. She has also been highlighted in several publications.

Born and raised in Colorado, Lisa worked as a sales consultant until her retirement in 2021. Her passions include traveling with her husband J.R., and meeting and sharing photography with new friends around the globe.

MS. SILVANA RETTER

Silvana Retter is a Romanian/German national and an internationally award-winning photographer and jury member living in Germany. Educated in journalism, she began her career as a newsreader at a local TV station in Romania. She discovered her passion for photography in 2006 when she bought her first Canon camera. Many of her pictures reflect the feelings and moods she experienced during her travels over the last few years.
