AMAL ALAMEER

Amal Alameer is an award-winning photographer and an international photography Jury member based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. As of 2023, she has obtained more than 1500+ international awards. She is the founder and president of the New View Photography Club. She is also the chairman of the New View contest and the Gulf Circuit. Translator in the Arabic version of PSA Magazine. Member of many photography organizations around the world. She has organized eight international photography competitions.


HANS-PETER HORNBOSTEL

EFIAP, EPSA, GPU CR2 / VIP1, cMoL, G.APS, Hon.CPE

Hans-Peter Hornbostel, born in 1954, has been actively involved in photography since 1983. However, he took a slight hiatus when his children were growing up. In 2011, he reignited his passion for photography, this time embracing digital techniques. As a member and speaker of a small village club, he continuously strives to enhance his skills.

In early 2014, Hans-Peter joined DVF, which represents the German location of FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art). Later in 2019, he ventured into international contests, broadening his horizons. He is now an esteemed member of several prestigious photography associations, including FIAP, PSA (Photographic Society of America), GPU (Global Photographic Union), MOL, and APU.

Hans-Peter's photography preferences lie in nature, particularly wildlife, although the definition of wildlife in Germany might be somewhat limited. Additionally, he finds delight in capturing architecture, the captivating moments of the blue hour, night photography, and UNESCO world heritage sites, with a special focus on Germany's cultural treasures.


PREMA KAKADE

Ms. Prema Kakade is an artist by nature having dabbled professionally in various forms of art like Batik, Tanjore and Mysore paintings. These pieces of art have reached innumerable countries through the prestigious Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation. 

During her childhood she was exposed to photography by Mr. E Hanumantha Rao, the renowned wildlife photographer. Joining YPS in 2016 catapulted her passion for photography and brought her UP Lalit Kala Academy Award, Karnataka Tourism Award as well as many awards from national and international salons. Her works have won Acceptances from over 40 countries. She has been a jury member in many national, international salons and competitions. Her pictures and articles have been published in several digital and print media. 

 She says "Photography to me is not only an extension of my art form, but goes much deeper as a meditative media."

Her interest in photography includes various genres like pictorial, nature, wildlife, macro and travel. She has served as Chairperson for YPS Salons. She is presently serving as the Secretary of Youth Photographic Society, Bengaluru. 

 


DERYA YAZAR

EFIAP

Derya Yazar, born in 1971 in Erzurum, Turkey, and now residing in Cappadocia, is a versatile individual with expertise in Health Management and Fine Arts. She has a background as a retired nurse and is actively involved in photography-related creative pursuits.

In the photography realm, she serves as a jury member in international competitions, engages in social responsibility projects, and teaches photography. As Cappadocia's photography delegate, she plays a crucial role in promoting art in the region. Her dedication to combining art with healing led her to pursue a Photography and Video Master's Degree with a focus on "The Use of Photography in the Health Sector." She applied "Art Therapy" using her photos to aid patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder during rehabilitation at Nevşehir Community Mental Health Center, receiving recognition as a Best Practice Example of Lifelong Learning in 2020 by the Ministry of National Education.

Derya Yazar has earned over 300 awards and acceptances in national and international photography competitions. She holds titles like AFIAP and EFIAP from FIAP, and she has received fellowships and honorary titles from various photography organizations worldwide. Her photographic works have been featured in group exhibitions, books, and magazines. She actively participates in photography platforms and associations, including Altınoran Thought and Art Platform, Fotografmetre, and the Association of Women Photographers.

With sixteen personal photography exhibitions to her name, including themes like "Women Labourers," "From Life to Death," "Miracle Food," "Blue Colour of Freedom," and more, she demonstrates a deep understanding of her subjects and a strong artistic vision.


MICHAEL STRAPEC

EFIAP/B, PPSA, LIPF

Michael Strapec was born in Dolny Kubin in Slovakia but living in Ireland since 2006. In salons and exhibitions, he has been awarded the Irish Photographic Federation and SACC photographer of the year 2020 in Ireland. One of his biggest successes was winning first place in "Mental health International exhibition of photography" in Iran in 2021, where one of his images took first place out of 30,000 images. Also, he has been awarded several times with the FIAP blue pin for the best author. And that's always an amazing achievement for him.In 2016 he decided to join a local photography club to meet people with the same interests and also tried to improve his photography skills. He had opened the right door. The door into the world of art photography! He decided to go his own way and create his own style. He loves fine art and creative portrait photography. That's his passion, his obsession! He loves images with feeling and emotion. Images with the soul.

MRINAL BANDYOPADHYAY

EFIAP, FFIP, FAPU, ESFIP

Mrinal Kumar Bandyopadhyay a diploma holder in photography from the Photographic Association of Dum Dum and a direct disciple of the legendary pictorialist Mr. Benu Sen, has learned the technique and art of Pictorial Photography using film and darkroom. He began his journey in digital photography as early as 1988 and honed his skills over time. He started participating in Salon photography seriously in 2011 and he was conferred AFIAP in 2012, FFIP in 2015, and EFIAP in 2016. He was inducted as Webmaster of the Federation of Indian Photography(FIP) in 2011 and he is continuing his work at FIP with continuous improvement of the FIP site.  

Academically, he has a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Kanpur and a postgraduate management qualification from IIM-Kolkata. He is also a certified software quality professional by STQC- IT services under the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology. He was the first to introduce the computer-based judging system in India for print and digital salons. His images were exhibited in over 44 countries and he has won a number of awards.  

Mr. Bandyopadhyay acted as a judge in many National and International Salons. He has delivered lectures on digital photography at various places like universities, colleges, IIT, and public places. He has participated in 7 International photographic Conferences and presented papers on digital photography. As a chairman of the Benu Sen Study Center and Digital Research Unit, he designed the post-diploma curriculum in digital photo editing along with Professor Biswatosh Senguta. He teaches digital photography and editing techniques at the Digital Research Unit of the Photographic Association of Dum Dum and also at the Society of Photographers, Howrah. He was conferred ESFIP in recognition of his contribution to Indian photography and FIP in the year 2021.


FLORENTINO MOLERO GUTIERREZ

GMPSA, EFIAP/b, CR5_VIP5, c**MoL, EFIP

Florentino Molero is a self-taught conceptual photographer. As a photographer, he is interested in specific topics with an absolute preference for author and creative photography. Florentino works preferably as a photographer in the field of creativity. He prefers to create photographic works inspired by everyday reality, combined with his own imagination. He strives to carefully compose photographic compositions of realistic scenes in unreal and sometimes magical spheres.


FRANK HAUSDORFER

GMPSA, EFIAP, GPU Hermes, VIP II, 4 Crowns, IFS R10, Mol***,GMIIWF , EÖVF, WPAI Silver, GAPU

Born in Eastern Germany in 1966, Frank Hausdorfer has a diverse background. He holds a diploma in Social Work and works as a freelance journalist and photographer. His artistic career includes active participation in photography clubs in Germany and Austria, with a focus on Landscape, Travel, Sport, and Model photography. He has consistently received awards in national and international photography competitions, including notable achievements like team silver in the FIAP Biennial. He also serves as a judge in various photo circuits. His work has been exhibited in personal shows in Germany and Romania, as well as in international photo shows. He holds multiple honorary titles, including EFIAP, GMPSA, and others.

In his personal life, he comes from a teaching family, lives in a restricted area on the East-West German border, and has overcome educational challenges. He was politically active during a time of change and worked in youth welfare for 20 years. His extensive travels have taken him to 53 countries, where he explored diverse landscapes, major cities, and beautiful islands around the world.


CAROL MCNIVEN YOUNG

Carol is an international award-winning amateur photographer from England who took up photography in 2013 after a career in Brand Marketing. 5 years later she gained a  Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and achieved a raft of other photographic distinctions and qualifications. She enjoys all genres of photography but specializes in Creative Portraiture. As a member of Rolls Royce Photographic Society in the UK she was part of the team that won the FIAP World Cup this year (2023).  

Carol likes to share with others her passion for self-development which she does through mentoring, judging, lecturing and running workshops, as well as being the Judges & Lecturers Secretary of her regional photographic federation (N&EMPF).


MR. NAGENDRA MUTHMURDU

EFIAP, FFIP

Nagendra Muthmurdu, a native of a small village in the Western Ghats region of Karnataka, India, is primarily engaged in agriculture. Following his B.Sc. graduation, he delved into the world of classical flute music and subsequently transitioned into the realm of photography, where he discovered his true passion. His main focus in photography is pictorial, encompassing genres such as Nature, Travel, Birds, Macro, and Street photography. His impressive achievements include earning distinctions as EFIAP and FFIP in the field of photography.

Nagendra Muthmurdu boasts an impressive track record in photography, having accumulated a total of 120 Awards to his name, which notably include 18 gold medals, along with more than 1500 acceptances in national and international photography exhibitions. His photographic works have been showcased in exhibitions across over 30 countries, and he has received prestigious accolades such as the "FIAP Best Author" and "Best Indian Entrant" awards in international exhibitions.

Acknowledging his significant contributions to the world of photography, Nagendra Muthmurdu was honored and felicitated with the "SAARTHA Award-2010 for Photography Art" in Manama, Bahrain. In addition to his photography pursuits, he is also a skilled writer, with numerous articles and photographs featured in leading Kannada magazines, periodicals, special issues, and cover pages. Furthermore, he has conducted numerous solo exhibitions and serves as a mentor and faculty member in various photography workshops.

Beyond his professional interests, Nagendra Muthmurdu enjoys trekking, music, reading, and writing, rounding out his diverse array of hobbies and passions.


DR. PRAMOD GOVIND SHANBHAG

ARPS, MPSA, EFIAP/Platinum, MFIP (N)

Dr. Pramod, born on 22 September 1947 in Honavar, coastal Karnataka, holds the following professional qualifications: MBBS from KMC, Hubli in 1971, and DCH from KEM Hospital in 1974. He commenced his private practice in a rural area in 1975, and since 1981, he has been practicing in Bangalore.

From a young age, Dr. Pramod has been captivated by nature and wildlife, drawing inspiration from magazines like Life, Times, and National Geographic found in his college library. His journey into photography started in 1992 when he and a friend began learning under the guidance of Mr. Perumal, an esteemed figure in nature photography. Since 2014, he has passionately pursued photography as a hobby and has actively participated in national and international photo competitions. As a testament to his talent, he has received over 7000 acceptances and has been honored with 1200 awards. Recently, he has developed a keen interest in street photography.

Dr. Pramod's extensive travels have taken him to various remote locations, exploring the wonders of the natural world.

 


UMBERTO D’ERAMO

EFIAP/s, MPSA

Born in Rome in 1954, Umberto D'Eramo now resides in Sulmona and is self-employed. He serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Medicine's Department of Neurology at the University La Sapienza, with affiliations in both Rome and Palermo. His professional expertise lies in the field of scientific research, where he specializes in digitalized biometry and movement analysis. Additionally, he has pursued amateur photography as a hobby since 1974. Over the years, he has actively participated in numerous photography competitions, achieving notable success and exhibiting his work in Italy and abroad. A significant accomplishment in his photography journey includes winning the Digital Photography category at the X Edition of the 2015 Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art. His dedication to photography has earned him prestigious awards from respected organizations.

Youth Photographic Society

Youth Photographic Society (YPS) Bengaluru, the hosts for this contest, is a not-for-profit organization started in 1971 to further the Art of Photography. With over 600 members, YPS is among the largest Photography Clubs in India and also boasts of hosting 50 National and International Salons. It has been nurtured by doyens of Indian Photography like Late Mr. T N A Perumal, Late Mr. E Hanumantha Rao and Late Mr. C Rajagopal. The club conducts regular slide-shows on every first and third Saturday of the month, alongside exhibitions and workshops, for the benefit of its members.
